Vancouver Kitchen Fire - 2002
On November 19, 2002 a family living in there single family dwelling on East 14th Ave., Vancouver, B.C. owe their lives and home to a glass bulb fire sprinkler head. All four family members were home at the time when a pot on the stove caught fire. Suddenly a teenager sleeping in an upstairs bedroom was awaken by the sound of the sprinkler alarm. The fire sprinkler standing on duty at the ceiling was called into action to extinguish the fire. Within 24 hours things in the home were pretty much back to normal in this home thanks to a residential fire sprinkler head.
